"A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease." ~ ~ ~ John Muir

Bled Solvenia

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” Samuel Johnson

I'm in beautiful Bled, Slovenia, the last stop on my solo journey. Wow. Chocolate chip cookies, free city maps, and a library with free internet! What more could one ask from life. Okay, Ill ask for a keyboard with the Y in the right place and an apostophe and a question mark I can find. Other than that, I'm blissed. I will spend 2 weeks here. Ill upload photos soon, assuming of course that I can maneuver this Slovenian keyboard.

Ahhhhh, I could not have had a more incredible journey if I had planned it. It has been so amazing, so perfect. Everything has fallen in place perfectly all along the way. I have met such wonderful people, seen such beautiful sights. I can only say that this was planned by a Divine Wisdom much greater than myself and I am so deeply grateful.

Crossing Lake Bled to the Castle

Yesterday I arrived in Bled - after an overnight stop in Ljubliana - on the same bus with an English woman and her young son and we had a fun day together. Another one of those wonderful chance meetings. We rented a rowboat and Dylan rowed us out to the island with the church on it. Afterwards we had ice cream and did the 4 mile walk around the lake. Pizza dinner and good byes just before it started to rain. How perfect is that. It's rainy and cool today and will remain so for the next two days, which is just fine with me. Im staying in a lovely old boardinghouse, private room, $17-night. It feels like it's full of lots of loving ghosts and good memories. So very sweet it is. Ill explore the town, read (I found the latest book by Paolo Cuelo in a Ljubljana bookstore!), write, rest, reflect. There's an old train I can take through the high mountains to the coast and border with Italy. $10 for an 1 1/2 ride over and back. I can pop over to Italy for lunch and be back by evening. There are mountain trails galore, a medieval fair with jousting knights and all at the castle on the cliff this weekend, swans and ducks and ice cream to enjoy in the meantime.

This is me ringing the Wishing Bell in the church on the island in the middle of Lake Bled. I wished for world peace, of course. This town sits in a valley in the middle of the Julian Alps so there are rugged snow capped peaks all around. My perfect kind of place. I feel so very blessed to have the health, freedom and the willing spirit to explore this beautiful wide world full of such wonders! I wish the same to you. Love & Light
